Brittan Bowick-Hardgers is a strategist, organizer, speaker, author, entrepreneur, and community builder whose work has grown from grassroots organizing into statewide advocacy, electoral campaigns, national movement spaces, organizational strategy, and entrepreneurship.
In 2018, Brittan founded Next Generation Men of Transition (NGMT). In 2021, he made history as the first openly Black transgender candidate to run for Rochester City Council. Since then, his work has continued to expand across advocacy, civic engagement, public speaking, coalition building, campaign strategy, program development, and community-centered leadership.
But titles only tell part of the story. At the center of Brittan's work is a commitment to building access, opportunity, power, and spaces where communities are not simply invited into the conversation—they help shape what happens next.
